APC names Atiku, Tinubu, as Buhari’s campaign members

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Lagos state governor, Bola Tinubu and Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi were among those listed as top campaign officials for the campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

The list, released five days after the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) announced its campaign members, did not include Tanimu Yakubu, a former chief economic adviser to the late President Umaru Yar’Adua. He was initially tipped to head the Policy Research and Strategy directorate, a position that will now be held by Kayode Fayemi, former governor of Ekiti state. Garba Shehu will head the Media and Publicity directorate, a position temporarily held by Dele Alake, former Lagos commissioner for information and strategy. Abdulrahman Danbazau, a retired general and former chief of army staff, who was removed by President Goodluck Jonathan, will head the security directorate. Below is the full list.
